CRJU113 - Introduction to Law EnforcementSemester Credit Hour(s) 3 Focusing on the functions of contemporary law enforcement agencies and services, this course provides a comprehensive overview of law enforcement’s role in the justice system. Topics include the history and scope of American law enforcement; law enforcement cultures, with a focus on effectiveness, accountability, and ethics; and organization and leadership. Law enforcement interactions with the community are examined. Careers and the hiring process in law enforcement are discussed.
