PTAP240 - Physical Therapy InterventionsSemester Credit Hour(s) 3 This course emphasizes understanding the plan of care developed by the physical therapist and the implementation of appropriate interventions designed to reduce pain, improve mobility and restore function in different settings such as acute care, long- term care and sports medicine facilities. Modification of the treatment plan based on reported changes in the patient’s clinical status is stressed. Considerations for the physical environment are introduced and the importance of patient, family and caregiver education is emphasized. The principles of wound care management are also studied.
