NURS302 - Gerontology NursingSemester Credit Hour(s) 3 This course will provide a foundation for the care of the elderly. The theories and concepts of aging, the physiologic and psychosocial changes and problems associated with the process, and the appropriate nursing interventions are discussed. The unique ethical and legal aspects of caring for the elderly are discussed. The course content will provide a sound knowledge base for the practice of gerontological nursing and to cultivate appreciation and respect for the elderly.
Prerequisite(s): NURS 215 , NURS 231 (except RN-BSN) Prerequisite or Corequisite: BIOL 205
