ECED102 - Child Growth and DevelopmentSemester Credit Hour(s) 3 The focus of this course is to build a strong foundation in understanding development in children birth to age eight. An emphasis on social, cultural, and economic influences on development as well as the role heredity and environment play in child development will be investigated. The science of early brain development, child development theories, milestones and domains form the foundation for understanding. Specific attention will also be given to atypical development of children with exceptionalities and challenges.
