ECED106 - Family and Community ConnectionsSemester Credit Hour(s) 3 The connection between program, family, and community is vital to the education of young children. The primary focus in this course is family, and understanding the significant role that family plays in the education of their children. Supporting diversity, understanding family patterns, trends, and relationships across a variety of cultures, is a necessity in building effective relationships with children and families The success of a program relies on effective communication, advocating for children and families, and building on-going relationships while working collaboratively with resources in the community. Examining these relationships is a key concept throughout the course.
