NURS223 - Medical Surgical Nursing IISemester Credit Hour(s) 5 This theory and practicum course gives emphasis to increasing critical thinking and clinical decision-making in the care of clients with increasingly complex health/illness needs. Utilizing the nursing process, the student is expected to integrate previous learning to assist the patient and family in achieving optimal functioning in various complex health care situations and settings. Clinical experiences are focused on assisting the student to transition to the role of the graduate nurse.
Prerequisite(s): NURS 202 , NURS 222
