CRJU112 - Law Enforcement and The Multicultural CommunitySemester Credit Hour(s) 3 Focusing on the functions of contemporary law enforcement agencies and services, this course provides a comprehensive overview of law enforcement’s role in the justice system. Topics include: history and scope of American law enforcement; law enforcement cultures, with a focus on effectiveness, accountability, ethics; organization and leadership. Community perception of and interaction with law enforcement are analyzed. Careers in law enforcement are examined as well as the evolution of professions in the justice field.
