ECED103 - Creative and Language Arts for ChildrenSemester Credit Hour(s) 3 This course is designed to focus on beginning level curriculum development through the context of play. Planning and evaluating developmentally appropriate play-based learning activities in the following areas: language, literacy, art, music and movement receive emphasis. The critical role of play in developmentally appropriate activities within the content areas is also a focus. Specific attention will be given to the stages of play development and theories of play, including the relationship between play and early childhood development and cognition.
