The Business Assistant diploma program will provide students with the technical and critical skills necessary to perform basic business functions and processes aligned with meeting customers’ needs and organizational goals. Graduates will gain the essential entrepreneurship, sales, and marketing principles skills necessary in an evolving workplace. Students will develop a versatile skill set, gaining knowledge in each area and preparing them for dynamic roles in today’s changing business environments. Graduates of this program may apply credits earned toward the Business AAS degree program.

Graduates of this diploma plan will achieve the following program and institutional outcomes:

  • Demonstrate critical thinking skills to solve problems and make decisions based on current business principles.
  • Discuss the awareness of ethical behaviors within the business environment.
  • Utilize current technology and resources to identify a research need, locate and evaluate necessary  and available information, and then use it appropriately to communicate findings in visual, written, or oral formats.
  • Integrate new and prior knowledge, skills, and behaviors acquired through learning to engage in career, life, and academic pursuits.
  • Examine individual thinking strategies through reflection, analysis, and evaluation to adjust learning processes focused on continual improvement.
  • Follow established methods of scientific inquiry and quantitative reasoning to form conclusions and make decisions.
  • Assess academic, life, and career situations that promote cultural sensitivity, global and economic awareness, and a sense of belonging.
