PTAP111 - KinesiologySemester Credit Hour(s) 3 This course will present the basic principles of biomechanics and kinesiology related to human movement. Emphasis will be on musculoskeletal anatomy as it provides a foundation for understanding human movement in exercise and daily activities. Anatomical landmarks are stressed as students prepare to apply theory and technique to range of motion measurements. Biomechanical principles as they relate to manual muscle testing, stretching exercises, respiratory physical therapy and gait are also explored.
