HURS200 - Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the WorkplaceSemester Credit Hour(s) 3 This course examines the implications of cultural, gender, religious, social economic, and other factors of diversity as they affect relationships, strategies, and effectiveness in the workplace. Students will learn how to effectively provide assistance related to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the workplace. Emphasis will be on understanding the diversity of factors that affect how and why an individual acclimates in the workplace. Students will evaluate ethical responsibilities as they relate to honoring and respecting cultural experiences. This course will help students create awareness of unconscious bias, cultural competence, and other barriers related to DEI.
